HPB worked with malls to organize free healthy living activities and when I heard about it, I packed my schedule as much as I could because those activities are classes that I would normally pay for! Activities include Zumba, Kickboxing, Hiphop, Yoga, KpopX Fitness, Bokwa, Piloxing, and Hot Hula. It is also a great way to have a free trial for these activities before deciding if you should sign up for long term classes at a fixrd studio. You can check out the updated mall workout schedule here.
Hiphop (Star Vista, walking dist from Bouna Vista MRT, Monday 7.30pm - 8.30pm)
Deck yourself in sportswear and you're ready to go! In that one hour for Hip Hop, we warmed up and went through a choreography of about 6 different moves. I felt quite retarded initially but everyone was trying to catch up so we're all in it together! Managed to do at least 95% of the moves at the end of the hour so it was great!
There are also a couple more fitness programmes from HPB which are free! There's Sunrise in the city, i-Run, Fitness at work, Sundays @ the park, and fitness interest groups. Read more and download the schedule on their website at http://www.healthhub.sg/programmes/34/get-active
I tried a couple of the free programs under Fitness at work and Sunrise in the city. It has been great so far. Go check it out! Dragged my colleagues for Yoga at Fitness first, Hip hop lessons, and Basketball near my workplace for free :D
