Fresh oysters aren't cheap, but thankfully there are oyster promos everyday. Decided to compile them after finding myself googling ever so often for Oyster Promotions in Singapore. The #oysteraddiction is real. Please call the restaurants to confirm the deals and happy hours before heading over!

There’s one more place that has oysters at $2.90 nett each even without promo. Garçons Express at Timbre Plus. Tried it a couple of times and it depends on your luck if the oysters are fresh. Just sharing!

There are so many reviews out there so I’m not gonna flood the web. But.. Just to share my experience so far. Teru sushi is the cheapest (food is reasonably priced too) but the oyster quality isn't consistent. Highly likely frozen. Went there about 5 times and my mum had a tummy ache two out of five times. I was fine though! We still go there cause its quite cheap. Bar on Chulia is also likely frozen and defrosted. Humpback never disappoints :) Greenwood Fish Market is good, but I don’t like that we have to order one main each cause I’m a small eater and food normally goes to waste if I don’t share.

Wasabi Tei Review - Affordable Japanese food in Orchard

Tucked away in a corner at Far East Plaza, this Sushi Bar occupies 2 separate units at the same level.

My friend shared with me that this Sushi Bar outlet is affiliated (not sure if it’s the same owner) to Chikuwa Tei. Not sure how true, but the sashimi slices are indeed as thick as, if not, thicker than at Chikuwa Tei.

Salmon sashimi ($12 for 6 really chunky slices)

We also tried the Gyuniku Yaki Teishoku ($18 for a set) and Aburi Salmon & Unagi Maki ($16 for 6 pcs). The beef was alright, and as for the maki, I think Koh Grill and Bar still does it better.

With only counter seats available, it reminds me of the small restaurants in Japan.

Prices vary from $18 for an average set to $35 for a Chirashi bowl. Wasabi Tei's 2016 Menu as below. Btw, NETT price, no GST and service charge!

There weren't many food vendors but I guess we're all there for the beer!

Rough start to the comedy. It was quite lame in the beginning really but it was okay towards the end. Wouldn't pay for it, but since we had complimentary access, why not right?

Ended the night with poolball. It's essentially playing pool with soccer balls instead of a stick and balls on the table. There were about 5 beer pong tables right beside this as well! Poolball was free for all, just had to write our names down and wait for our turn :) Oh. There was an area where there were dart machines free for play as well. We totally hogged the machines but made new friends along the way. Beat the high score to win a carton of beer!

Chill over live music, good food, 500 beers, and comedy with tickets starting from $25!
